This is a hysteroscopy of intramural fibroids
video, of a 48 year old woman with extremely heavy periods and
two intramural fibroids. "Intramural" here means "inside the walls" -- the fibroids are in the uterine wall and cannot be seen
through a hysteroscopy like this. The endometrial cavity looks
normal, slightly enlarged but otherwise nothing wrong with it.
However, this patient has extreme menstrual bleedings and
the ultrasound reveals that the cause of the bleeding is two intramural
fibroids.
In this video you can also see the openings
to the Fallopian tubes. Everything is normal, but the patient is
heading for an endometrial ablation anyway.
