This is an endometrial ablation for submucous leiomyoma video, performed on a woman 41 of age. (Leiomyoma or myoma for short, is tumor of uterine muscle, usually called fibroid.) The woman was diagnosed with unresponsive menorrhagia; menorrhagia stands for “excessive bleeding”, and unresponsive menorrhagia usually leads to a hysterectomy, because the doctors start thinking that nothing can save the day. Operative hysterescopy enables one to avoid hysterectomy by controlling the conditions of uterine bleeding.

In this case, the surgeon is Jose Bolanos, MD. His chose operative hysteroscopy, using an electrical loop. The electricity in the loop removes the segments of the fibroid.

Removing the fibroid is done in little steps, because the loop is small and can only cut away small parts one at a time. Once the largest part of the fibroid is removed, Mr. Bolanos proceeds with another instrument, GyneCare VersaPoint, which is a bipolar cuttery instrument to finish the cauterization and endometrial ablation of the uterine cavity.

In the end, the entire endometrium is removed and there will be no more bleeding for this patient.

Here is a detailed vaginal hysterectomy video. The official name is vaginal hysterectomy with bilateral oophorectomy without uterine prolapse. The operation is practiced at the Institute of Gynecology (Rio de Janeiro — Brazil), the chief surgeon is Prof. Jose Augusto Machado.

Bilateral oophorectomy means that both ovaries were cut out. This woman will enter surgical menopause right after the operation, which will just add to the long list of her post op problems.

The video is 4 minutes long and is very detailed. It is completely graphic, so if you cannot stand blood, don’t look at it. Hysterectomy is no picnic, it’s a major surgery and if you don’t want to be a patient in one such operation, do try to heal yourself and your life beforehand.

Endometriosis (colloquially referred to as endo, but also misspelled as endometreosis and endemetriosis) affects some 89 million women of reproductive age around the world. With endometriosis, the endometrial tissue from the uterus is found outside the womb in other areas of the body. Under normal circumstances, the endometrium leaves the body each month through menses (unless conception occurs). In endometriosis, the misplaced endometrium has no way of leaving the body. The tissues, however, still follow the rise and fall of estrogen and progesteron, breaking down and bleeding as if they were still in the womb, with many of the following symptoms taking place in the woman’s body:

– internal bleeding,

– degeneration of blood and tissue shed from the growths,

– inflammation of the surrounding areas, and

– formation of scar tissue.

In addition, the growths can interfere with the normal function of the bowel, bladder, intestines and other areas of the pelvic cavity. Endometriosis has also been found lodged in the skin, the lungs, the diaphragm and even the brain.

Laparoscopical Diagnosis of Endometriosis

Laparoscopy is the only way to see whether there is endometriosis or not. Once spotted, the surgeon may decide to remove endo specks during the explorative laparoscopy or not. A new method called autofluorescent laparoscopy diagnosis of endometriosis helps the surgeon see only the lesions, even if the tissues looked OK in normal white light.

Herbs For Endometriosis

Herbs for endometriosis have their place in the larger scheme of things. In traditional Chinese Medicine, the bad state of the liver is considered to be the root of endometriosis. Empower the liver and gradually the endo will subside. So, the following herbs have effect both on the hormones and the liver:

Vitex agnus-cactus (Chasteberry) effects pituitary gland, the “conductor” to the orchestra of internal glands. Vitex will adjust female hormones and regulate menstruation, and will also help in endometriosis, PMS and dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation). Chasteberry also helps the liver to process and excrete estrogen — less estrogen means no estrogen domination or none at all.

Angelica senensis (Don Quai) acts as a hormone balancer and is an indispensable herb for treatment of female reproductive disorders. It is a tonic herb for the reproductive system and will address the overall health of your reproductive organs and is especially useful in treatment of irregular periods, polycystic ovarian syndrome, estrogen dominance and endometriosis. Don Quai is also a well-known liver tonic and blood pressure regulator.

Silybum marianus (Milk Thistle) This protects the liver from damage by viruses, pollution, stress and toxins. It is also a potent antioxidant; laboratory studies indicate it may have useful anti-cancer properties.

Dioscorea villosa (Chinese Yam) is an excellent natural liver and nervous system tonic. It is also known to have anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic properties and will decrease menstrual pain as well as inflammation associated with endometriosis that leads to scar tissue.

Viburnum opulus (30C) is a homeopathic remedy known for its effectiveness in treating painful menstruation, especially backache.

You should be taking these herbs several months in a row, to see the effects. And you can do other things for your endometriosis at the same time, besides taking the herbs for endometriosis.

What is Endometriosis Video

Here is a fairly good introduction to the notion of endometriosis, however, the speaker says that there is no known cure for endo. Well, that should not stop you from trying to get better, using alternative medicine or not!

Here is the video:

Here is how endometriosis can be exterminated:

Endo Treatment – Radical Excision of Endometriosis

The video has not tone but explains things through annotations. Fairly bloody, if I may say so, however. surgery does have its place in cases of severe endometriosis.

Here is the video:

Possibly the way to cure endometriosis is homeopathy.

This polycystic ovarian disease laparoscopy video shows a procedure called ovarian drilling. In the video, the right side ovary is being held by a forceps, while the instrument with a very fine needle is being brought to the ovary. The needle carries electric current, which destroys small portions of the ovary. It must be done with precision and it takes a skilled laparoscopic surgeon to do that. To be a good candidate for this procedure, the woman must have a bit larger ovaries.

If done right, the procedure will bring ovulation back to the patient within a few months, and some 50% of the patients have a good chance of getting pregnant within a year. The risk of ovarian drilling is that scar tissue on the ovary may form. Also, in many cases, the effect will last only for a couple of months. If the patient had already had increased hair growth and loss of scalp hair, the ovarian drilling will not help with these at all.

The operative hysteroscopy for intrauterine adhesions video shows the procedure also known as adhesiolysis for treating Ashermann’s syndrome. The surgeon is Dr Anjali Malpani.

The video first shows the uterine cavity as the the surgeon sees it on the video screen. This cavity is small and distorted because of the adhesion, due to a scar on the inside wall of the uterus. The adhesion divided the cavity into two parts. The surgeon cuts through the adhesion with a hysteroscopic cutting knife, which uses electricity. The goal is not only to resect the adhesion but to eliminate the scar itself.

Once the resection was done, the video shows how the uterine cavity opened up and normalized the uterus. This woman will undergo further IVF treatment, but her chances of conceiving are greatly increased, since the uterus is almost normal now.

This laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy video shows a successful outcome for Melanie Parker, who was “up and running” only two weeks after the laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy. She had fibroids in an enlarged uterus, lots of cramping, heavy bleeding, always had to to be near the bathroom… a very diminished lifestyle!

[There is a video that cannot be displayed in this feed. Visit the blog entry to see the video.]

The surgeons made a tiny incision and entered laparoscopic instruments to be able to see the inside organs. The surgeons very delicately worked around surrounding organs, separating the bladder, lifting up the uterus, separating the ovaries and the Fallopian tubes, and the cervix. Having cut out the blood supply, the only thing that remained to be done is to take the uterus out. In the very end, they used an instrument called the morcellator to take out the uterus (the procedure itself is called morcellation).

The morcellator is a hollow tube with blades in the end. It cuts the uterus into long, thin stripes, and that is how the uterus, even when it is five times bigger than its normal size, can be taken out through a 1.5 cm excision.

One of the advantages of laparoscopic surgery is that incisions are smaller, and are closed with a glue; in contrast to that, classical open stomach hysterectomy is centimeres larger and closed with staples. Also, the cervix is preserved (“supracervical” can be roughly translated as “above the cervix”, since only those parts of the uterus are cut away), which will later prevent the vagina from prolapsing and will enable better sex, or no pain during penetration throughout the intercourse.

Laparoscopic hysterectomy is fast becoming the de facto standard way of performing a hysterectomy, unless the woman has a bigger problem, such as cancer.

The surgeons in this laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy video were David Kmak M.D. and Paul Makela M.D. of WSU School of Medicine, filmed at Hutzel’s Woman Hospital.

Here’s the question I’ve found in the mail this morning:

They want me to start taking lupron to decrease estrogen after estrogen and progesterone receptor + cancer. Tamoxifen did not work as I am premenopausal. Lupron scares me but i am not sure if it is worth the risks. How else can i decrease my estrogen naturally?

Great question and you will not find an answer strictly within the pharmaceutical world. You have to get to the root of the problem and that is how the pituitary gland works. Treat her right and everything else will slowly start to fall in place. This is a simplified view, of course, but nevertheless, the right one, and it is almost sure to be overlooked by a gynecologist, which will only think in terms of his or her specialistic profession.

You need a remedy that will affect the pituitary gland, and the actual way doesn’t matter:

– it can be herbal,

– it can be homeopathic, or a mixture of both,

– acupuncture or Su Jok,

– Reiki

and so on. If that works, fine.

The more fundamental way would be to see what emotions are whirling in your energy bodies now. Maybe the relationship you are in now needs adjustment, maybe there are monetary problems which ruin everything and your female body reacts the only way it knows how, by disseminating the energy from the emotional level deeper to the body, thus creating illness. A more proper therapy for this level would include Bach flower remedies, for example.

Finally, and this is the only way my services finally enter the picture, if you want to predict what will happen in the future AND start rectifying things and behaviours BEFORE they escalate, you may need a horoscope reading from me. To see a glimpse of how that would look like, you can go to www.DuskoSavic.com to see some videos of mine. If you order the reading, you will actually get such videos for YOUR case, with specific therapies for you both now and in the future and so on.

I am posting this to the blog because the question is very important and will be of use to many other visitors to the site. Thank you for posting it in the first place.

At the Imperfect Complainer blog, we find a story of Flicka, a woman who first got pregnant and then lost her baby after a few months. She now attends a doctor and was given the following advice:

– to stop doing the D&Cs, which were uncomfortable and painful,

– to go in for a chemo therapy, or

– to go all the way down and have a hysterectomy.

Here is my comment to this situation:

Doctors deal with patients, ie with people that have some discomfort, pain, illness etc. It is all too easy to screw up and make patient feel and behave much worse instead of much better. Doctors would like us to believe that they are omnipotent, as if when they wear their official white wardrobes they become powerful wizards, be all, end all, cure all. In reality, they are just humans willing to help and they might have some ready to use knowledge that patients find welcome.

So far so good, you go to a doctor, he or she tells you what to do, and that often helps. But what about those cases when doctors cannot help, or worse, when the things they suggest and do make everything worse on their own!? That is why doctors work within procedures: each problem you throw at them, they respond through a set of fairly rigids official procedures. It is this word official that is the problem here.

What is official and how do doctors learn about what is official? Official is what some body or committee of doctors says it is official. That is, they get together, two or three doctors that are at the foremost of the research tell others what should be done and how, and a new procedure is born. Each practicing doctor is then responsible not for healing a patient but for applying the right procedure in the proper way. There is a huge difference between healing or curing and applying a proper procedure and that what this comment is all about.

In the above post, the doctor suggested three separate things, none of which is aimed at curing or healing or advancing the health of the patient. He or she is bound by the available procedures for the patient’s situation, but if none of the procedures is going to work, then what — he doesn’t really care! He has done everything he could according to the trade he is in, but how will that help the patient to have a child, in this case? The doctor is legally covered and he can even be sympathetic to the patient, wishing her every good in the world, but he still is bound by his chosen profession.

The senseless D&Cs really should have been stopped, or at least a hysteroscopy should have been performed, in which the doctor can actually see something inside the uterus. There are videos on YouTube ( Hysteroscopy Of Intramural Fibroids Video and Operative Hysteroscopy For Intrauterine Adhesions Video) so everybody can see what it looks like.

The chemo therapy as it is called here is not a chemo therapy in the sense of someone having cancer and then applying a chemo therapy, here it is a hormonal therapy aimed at resolving the symptoms. Finally, the most horrible idea is to have a hysterectomy because there will never be babies after that. But all this is leading to a hysterectomy, the situation that this doctor is leading his patient to has even been statistically researched, and the conclusion was that hysterectomy was inevitable when “everything” was tried, including the hormonal treatment.

We are all too ready to believe everything the good doctor says, but in this case and in all cases such as this, there is a lot to try and do inbetween the symptoms and final solution, i.e. hysterectomy. There is homeopathy, there is Reiki, Su Jok, acupuncture, enzyme mixtures, herbal remedies, crystal therapy… as well as many others, none of which is in the domain of our good doctor because the official medicine didn’t approve any of them.

I wish your friend all the best, and especially not only to get well but to have that baby finally. Life with a baby of your own is what life on this planet is all about.

Sincerely, Dusko Savic
medical astrologer

From time to time I engage in forum discussions on hysterectomy and similar matters. Here are my recommended links for endometriosis, for a woman whose doctor is leading her steadily towards the hysterectomy, taking the usual route of Lupron, than it won’t work out, and then YES, I have nothing else to offer you but I must offer you something, and that is hysterectomy!

The discussion started here and my post is:

==============================

This is my first post on this forum. First of all, let me say that I am a man so that I cannot have personal experiences with endometrisosis, but for other reasons of my own, I have a site that tries to teach women how to avoid hysterectomy.

If you do have endo, then in theory there are methods to help you deal with it without surgery, especially, without hysterectomy, which is a major surgery and additionally will cripple you hormonally to the end of your days.

Instead of talking much here, I’ll give you a few links that will yield further information on this matter:

1) Lupron and why it is dangerous

2) General info on endometriosis written by a woman who got around it without surgery!

3) Choosing the right alternative method to heal endometriosis — hopefuly you might find one that is applicable to your situation.

4) Finally, a listing of endometriosis articles by a “renegade” MD, Dr Joseph Mercola.

==============================

Also, if you want to see what the endo actually looks like, here is a very interesting endometriosis video:

Autofluorescent laparoscopy diagnosis of endometriosis

Other hysterectomy videos are here.

You can also choose from the conventional endometriosis treatments and alternative endometriosis treatments. If you just need advice what is the right thing for you to do now, you can have me develop a personal plan for you to fight endometriosis, based on medical astrology and energy healing techniques. Contact me here.

(You read that correctly, it’s more than 30 years by now.) In my youth, I was a keen tennis player, with beautiful strokes, but not with anything else needed to become a real champion.

I am not a medical doctor of any kind, so who am I to write on hysterectomy, the most dreaded and dreadful gynecological surgery that exists!? I am not on any kind of vengeance ego trip here, as so many women on the Internet who were screwed up by hysterectomy are. I just know many hysterectomies can be avoided, and I also know how it can be done and here is a convoluted story of how I reached that conclusion.
