A great advantage of distant healing is that energy can be sent continuously. The Drawbacks of Distant Healing with Reiki

There is one drawback to all this: you should always ask the recipient to approve of the energy being broadcast to him or her. The only exceptions would be patients in coma, or kids and the like. The problem with unauthorized broadcasting is that you directly influnce the patient’s aura, which is a karmic tie. You may not-knowingly awaken some old karma between you and that person and that rarely comes up to any good. For instance, one such group is Reiki Path, and there are many others. The results of group distant healing can be excellent, at least it seems so from the input and output from these groups. Many members of these groups send the healing silently, that is, when they see that someone asks for the healing, they send it without notifying the list. It is nearly impossible to know how many people do send the healing per one cry for help, so the effects certainly cannot be measured in any scientific way.

In the USA, in certain areas there are groups for distant Reiki healing that work in a direct manner, with and without Internet. There is anecdotal evidence that these groups help, but again, it is not possible to quantify. In any case, if you do have a problem, feel free to visit as many of these sites as you like and ask for Reiki — it may only come for the better.

The largest effort in group distant healing that is publicly known concerns William Rand, one of the most known men of Reiki. He invented Karuna Reiki, and is the head of the Reik.org, a site that has more than 3,000,000 visitors in a few years (yes, Reiki is very popular). When he had heart attack, 5,000 people all over the world were sending him healing and he survived!

You will find that practically every Reiki site offers distant healing. You can also request distant healing directly from Reiki.org, which demonstrates yet another distant healing technique in Reiki. On that page you can see William Rand’s picture through which he is sending Reiki to the viewer, that is, to you. Even by looking at that picture, you are getting Reiki and being healed at the same time!

During the initiation into Reiki, the heart and throat chakras become magnified and the result is that it becomes possible to call upon the Reiki energy from another dimension and transduce them through the hands to the patient. Reiki should go where the patient’s body needs it, however, it is felt the strongest where the practitioner’s hands are. In time, so-called hand positions appeared and became a standard part of any Reiki course.

Hand positions mimic closely the meridians known from acupuncture. Most hand positions concentrate on the head, because it is where almost all meridians pass through, however, placing hands over various parts of the body also has its merits. The basic hand positions of Reiki cover all parts of the body and the hands should be held on for as long as there is energy flow.

The Basic Hand Positions of Reki as the Main Vehicle To Transfer the Energy

The Reiki practitioner acts as a channel and the patient is drawing the energy through the practitioner’s body. Both the practitioner and the patient feel the energy and are being healed at the same time. It is quite possible that the patient has one or several parts of the body in greater need for the healing energies, and at those points the practitioner may feel stronger flow of the energy.

One school of thought says that regardless of the strength of the energy flow in particular places, the hands should be kept in each position for several minutes and then should be moved onto the next position on the patient’s body. The other school of thought believes that the hand should be kept in the positions for as long as there is some energy flow there, because it is the diseased organ that draws the energy it badly needs. When you give treatments using the basic hand positions of Reiki, you are free to do it either way, or to combine them — for best results, be flexible and always do what is best for the patient.

You will see a practitioner applying hands, starting with the patient’s head and progressing downwards, towards the feet. Once at the feet, the patient should turn on to the stomach and then the practitioner starts again.

For How Long to Hold the Basic Hand Positions Of Reiki In A Session?

There are usually 20-odd basic hand positions of Reiki per session, each for 2-3 minutes in length, so it amounts to one hour or a bit more. After that, the client is relaxed, and almost all patients fall asleep or enter a state of deep relaxation. It is all very relaxing, giving the body a break to start healing itself. If the client has some serious illness, Reiki sessions should be repeated, usually up to six or ten in a row, dispersed over a period of two or three weeks.

For the practitioner, basic hand positions of Reiki are both a blessing and a curse; they are the foundation of their art and yet it all looks so boring on the surface… Well, it really isn’t, because the practitioner will strongly feel the energies, usually working with his or her eyes closed.

The beauty or Reiki is that you do not have to know anything about the patient, Reiki will decide what is to be healed and at which level. That is also why it is not possible to promise any concrete improvement after a Reiki session — Reiki might have been healing something that is too deep to show up immediately.

Being attuned gives you instant access to energy literally whenever you think about it. The energy usually manifests itself as “warm hands”, since the hands of the healer usually warm up quite fast and then radiate heat. Actually, when you take the hands off of the body, this “heat” looks like a breeze of a spring wind — fresh and mild, but definitively there.

How To Get It

You get it through a process of initiation, or more precisely, through an attunement. Being attuned means that your body field, the flow of your energy, is being permanently changed so that you are in contact with this “cloud” of energy out there. Many people like to call this God, higher energy etc. but there really is no need to define it. It is quite sufficient that it exists and that you can link to it.

How Reiki Manifests Itself

Although the most common manifestation of Reiki being transmitted is warm hands, it need not always be the case. Sometimes the therapeut will not feel anything, while the recipient feels the energy as very hot, and sometimes none of the participants feels anything. It is very similar with attunements. Sometimes, the person being attuned will feel it strongly. Re-occurences of past lives may also happen. Sometimes, just nothing happens — and all of it is OK. The fact that the energy is not being felt, does not mean it was not trasferred — probably it was transmitted at higher levels that we can feel.

What Can You Send Reiki To

You may give Reiki to yourself or to others. With Level II, you will be able to transcend space and time, i.e. to send it to the people who are not with you. Attunements can also be done long distance. Once you are initiated, it is only your intent that matters: with Reiki, energy follows your thought. If you send it to your womb or ovaries for example, that organ will feel it and benefit from it. You can also send it to a situation, wish or an affirmation. An example of such a wish could be:

“I am sending this energy to heal my womb.” or

“I am sending Reiki to avoid hysterectomy”

or whatever.

You can send Reiki to parts of body, mind, mental or emotional states, as well as different circumstances.

Types of Reiki Treatments

How you experience Reiki will depend on whether were you initiated into it or not.

If you were initiated, here’s how you can give treatment to yourself:

1) By laying down hands on you body, in positions that you can reach effectively.

2) In addition to that, Level II practitioners can send the energy to the parts of their body that cannot be reached through hand positions.

3) With Level II, you can send it to the future or to the past, and thus try to influence the present. You cannot change “the fate of the world”, but you can rectify and transmute your own feelings and mental states you were in sometimes.

There are two other types of Reiki treatments:

4) The classic Reiki treatment, that is, a Reiki practitioner meets you and transmits the energy by laying hands on your body. Ssee the video Basic Hand Positions of Reiki.

5) Long distance Reiki treatment (sometimes referred to as healing in absentia). You can be here and the Reiki practitioner in any other part of the world, and yet, the energy will reach you in the predefined place and time.

Reiki is Intelligent Energy

Reiki is an intelligent energy, it has its own free will to an extent and will often go straight to the root of the problem, wherever that may be. That is why you cannot say to yourself:

“OK, I will initiate myself into Reiki and it will heal me from cancer, or fibroids of uterus, or cysts or what have you.”

The more Reiki you get the better, and all it will heal you somewhere and somehow, but you do not have the ultimate control. It does not make sense to say,

“Here we go, buy 10 sessions of Reiki from me and I will cure you from ____”.

The more detached the therapeut is, the better the results will be. Reiki will always heal, but it may not be what you wanted cured at that time!

Reiki Excels with Wounds and Surgeries

Reiki is especially efficient with wounds. It will stop bleading and make the wound go away, often quite quickly. It is an excellent tool for the post operational period, when you have a wound by definition. Many hospitals in America are experimenting with Reiki, finding it quite useful. If you can let the patient go away within two days instead of former nine or ten, everyone benefits: the patient, the hospital and the whole health system.

If you must have hysterectomy, arm yourself with Reiki first. Instead of waiting long hours in the hospital for a nurse to come and get you a remedy for pain, give yourself Reiki. The wound will heal faster, without blood, there will be less and less pain. Who will better contribute to your health than you yourself?

Too Good to Be True?

Does all this sound miraculous? It often is. Looks like magic? At first yes, but it really isn’t, since Reiki is not your own energy, you’re just transmiting it.

Still, the most wonderful thing about Reiki is that you do not need to know the diagnosis nor the true nature of the patient’s problem. You just apply Reiki and it does the rest.

Some Drawbacks of Reiki

Reiki does have its drawbacks. When you give it to someone, you are paying it with your own most precious asset — time. Unless you are a professional, you will want to limit yourself to delivering your services to only the members of your family. Ultimately, you should treat yourself every day for half an hour, up to an hour or a bit more.

The main problem of Reiki is that it is a weak and non-specific energy. We can compare it to a horizontal, broadband energy wave. If you receive it long enough, any problem that you may have could be cured, but how practical is that? For cancer, you should receive it for five or six hours each day — very few people can afford that either in terms of money or in terms of available time.

Using Reiki to Prevent Hysterectomy

Whatever is your current state of health, it can be better by regularly treating yourself. Try to do that at least one hour a day. There are a dozen or so “basic” hand placements, do each for 3 to 5 minutes a day and that will fill this hour devoted to Reiki. Do not skip positions, even if at first glance there seems to be no way of connecting that part of the body with gynecological problems. Just transmit the energy and remember that giving Reiki should always be an exercise in non-attachment. You state your intentions in a round-about way, through choosing the kind of Reiki to work with, the symbols to envoke etc.

The worst misuse of Reiki would be putting the hands on the sex organs only, as that is where the doctors told you the problem was. On the other hand, feel free to keep the hands longer on the part of the body where the energy flows stronger. Continue to keep the hands in a position as long as there is some energy flow, but when it stops, move to the next position. Do not stop the treatment until you visit all the standard hand positions on the body.

Reiki and the Members of Your Family

Better still, try to spark interest for Reiki in your spouse and other members of the family. It would be much better for you if they could give you treatments on a regular basis. This would be especially important if some kind of physical intervention or surgical operation is in order. It seems a fact now that patients that are “filled up” with Reiki before, during and after an operation, take it much easier, and have their wounds healed much faster in comparison to patients with no Reiki.

Members of your family can send you Reiki long distance. In classical Usui Reiki, it would require the second degree initiation, while in other healing systems, such ability usually comes integrated right from the beginning.

You need not undress your body, nor will there be need for the practitioner’s hands to touch your skin. In some respects, Reiki treatment is similar to a massage session, while in other respects, it is totally different.

The practitioner may and should ask you how to go about the sensitive parts of your body — the breasts, the genitals, the throat, the nose. The session will be just as successful in case the hands hover over those parts.

You can listen to some music, perhaps one of those New Age modern instrumentals with extravagant titles such as Partner Massage Air, Reiki, Aquarius etc. If the music is distracting, shut it down.

Treatments in Your Home

If the therapist comes to your house for the treatment, try to eliminate all distractions and reserve at least one hour for the session. Ideally, you should receive Reiki in the bed, and that may pose a problem for the therapist. He or she may strain their backs if they have to reach out for too long. If the position is awkward for the practitioner, the patient may be sitting in a large and comfortable chair; the therapist then stands behind the chair and can endure the whole treatment that way.

You can fall asleep during a Reiki healing session and it is a fairly common occurence. Reiki relaxes deeply, which can also be manifested as emotional outlets, crying, sobbing, sadness because of events from long ago… It is a part of the healing and cannot be avoided: Reiki goes where it needs to go, and if the cause of the problem is in the emotional sphere, there can be a spontaneous release of emotions.

Reiki Treatment in the Practitioner’s Office

If you go to the practitioner’s office, most of the problems with concentration and distractions should be automatically resolved. If the practitioner is doing this seriously at all, he would have a specialized Reiki table at just the convenient height to avoid the need of straining too much while laying hands on your body.

Reiki tables are quite similar to massage tables, if not one and the same. There are thousands people now in every country of the world practicing Reiki on their own, some professionally, some as a part time job, some as a hobby or from the need to help their loved ones, so a whole new market for the specialized tables sprung up.

What the Patient Feels During the Treatment

Usually, the patient feels the practitioner’s hands as quite warm, with a sudden leap from feeling them normally to feeling them hot. Many people comment out loud when they feel the sudden jump of the heat at the practitioner’s hands.

There will be cases in which the patient and the therapist will draw radically different sensations from the same situation: to the patient the practitioner’s hands are hot, while the therapist feels the patient’s body as cold. But it doesn’t really matter: even if neither the therapist nor the patient feel anything during the session, it does not mean that there is no transfer of energy going on. In such cases, the healing presumably takes place in those parts of the aura for which we do not have direct receptors.

Laying the Hands Down or Hovering Around the Body

Most practitioners literally lay their hands down on the patient’s body. There are some, however, who never do that, holding their hands very near the body and yet never touching it. It is a valid Reiki treatment technique, since the hands are then in the etheric body and the healing can progress from there just as efficiently as from the physical body itself. Some even argue that both techniques should be used, that is, both laying the hands on the body and around the body in the same session. There are no hard and fast rules about it, but the practitioner should follow his or her own intuition, listen to the guides etc.

Duration of the Reiki Treatment

The average time for the Reiki treatment is an hour. There are 12-24 different body positions for the hands to move to, give 2-4 minutes to each and that is one hour already. In some positions, the practitioner can hold hands even longer if a strong current of energy is felt. The patient usually never questions what the practitioner does because he finds that it is the very place that the hands stay longer on that he needs energy the most.

After the treatment, the practitioner will usually comment which parts of the body drew most of the energy and it may seem that this can be a basis for some diagnosis (“Your liver drew so much energy today that something must be going on with it!”), but wise practitioner will refrain from such conclusions. They have no medical relevance whatsoever and can only confuse the patient. Actually, a very sensitive practitioner can feel disruptions in energy flow in the aura or chakras, but cannot for the life of him produce it on paper in a manner that medical machines can. So it is best to be quiet and focus more on what the patient felt during the treatment.

If there is time and will, the treatment can be longer, as long as the patient is drawing some energy. This particularly applies when receiving a treatment from a loving member of the family. Then, the longer the Reiki treatment, the better. You cannot have too much Reiki, the patient will draw only as much energy as can absorb.

Reiki Treatment of the Whole Body Yields Best Results

Since Reiki is not our own energy and is somewhat independent from our wishes, the treatment should always, at least cursorily, encompass the complete body. All Reiki treatments should look the same: the hands are now on or above the patient’s face and eyes, now are on the ears, now on the back of the head, and so on, until the whole body is “visited”. For best results, let Reiki go on its own where it is needed.

When giving a Reiki treament, you should be a transmitter of the energy and not trying to impose your own will as to what and how will something be healed. The practitioner should best lock his or her ego away during the treatment! Actually, the practitioner feels the energy through his or her own body, and is healed along with the patient. In many cases, what the practitioner feels during the treatment is so exciting that it becomes addictive — many people find that their lives turn more and more towards Reiki since they feel so good when delivering it.

What Happens in the Practitioner During the Reiki Treatment

Looking from the outside, a Reiki treatment is as static as can be: the practitioner usually with his eyes closed, moving the hands slowly from a position to a position, the patient relaxed or totally asleep, both as still as they can be. Inside, the practitioner feels energy currents, Reiki symbols often appear out of the blue and force him to breath differently and to adjust the vibration of his own body to the new situation.

Often, the practitioner will start out one symbol or one kind of Reiki, just to be superceded by a symbol or message from his or her guides that lead to a totally different direction. The practitioner actually never knows what to expect, every treatment is different. On a particularly problematic spot on the patient’s body, several symbols may be needed in a row, the hands never actually moving away from the spot.

How Many Treatments is Enough

There should be several Reiki treatments in a row. Five is good, ten is better for the complete healing, but most patients become seduced by the first effects of the first few treatments and never really complete the healing. There is not much the practitioner can do about it, save to accept it as a fact of life!

If you suffer from any of the illnesses that usually lead to hysterectomy — endometriosis, heavy menstrual bleeding, PCOS, uterine fibroids, cancer etc. — consider Reiki treatments as a mighty weapon that will slowly but surely

In Reiki healing, intent is everything. If both you as a patient and the practitioner want you to be healed, that will just happen! The best practical side to Reiki is that you can be healing yourself even if there is no medical diagnosis. For instance, you may go through extensive pains for whatever gynecological reason, but Reiki can always be there to help eliminate the pain, if possible at all.

In acute conditions, the more Reiki the better. The usual warnings apply, though. If there is a slightest doubt that the spine or something in the head is broken, do not jump across the street to offer Reiki! But as soon as the broken log or arm is repositioned, do give as much Reiki as needed. There is evidence that in such situations, eight hours of Reiki treatment equals 10-15 days of natural regrowing of the bones! Reiki is at its best when applied in conjunction with other medical and alternative methods.

Two or More Practitioners on One Patient

Sometimes, there will be two or more Reiki practitioners around for a session. The more the merrier, and the healing should be deeper and much more noticeable than usually. That may be one of the good reasons to attend meetings of a local group of Reiki practitioners — apart from the talk and rubbing your shoulders together, you profit by being exposed to several channels of Reiki at once. If such an opportunity for the Reiki treatment presents to you, by all means, jump onto it!

On the other hand, with the presence of the Internet and long distance attunements, it is easy to imagine most or all members of your family inititated into Reiki and gathering to give you strong and accelerated healing Reiki treatments. This may be the best practical possiblity for your nearest and dearest to help you overcome your current illness, such as the one that is leading you to hysterectomy.

What to Do When Reiki Treatment in Person is Not Possible

Since 1979, Reiki spreads throughout the world. In several countries, it is already recognized as a valid complementary technique in state and children’s hospitals. There are about 5,000 Reiki professionals in the UK alone, and this trend just continues. Nobody knows for sure, but there are bound to be hundreds of thousands of Reiki Masters in the world, and the number of people that have received Reiki through a one-on-one healing session is now in the millions.

There are no special outward signs that someone is a Reiki master. You may sit in the room with ten Reiki masters and you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. They are just people like everybody else, except that they have access to Reiki and pretty strongly at that.

The word “strongly” is not really precise here. Initiations to further levels of Reiki seem to widen the channel to Reiki so that more energy may pass through in a unit of time. The patient gets more energy and the hands of Reiki masters do seem to be hotter compared to the Level I practitioner. (It just seems so, because in Reiki, it is the patient that draws the energy through the therapist, not the other way around.) If you were clairvoyant, you would have a different picture of a Reiki master. Through the initiations, his aura has become so large that it may stretch for several meters around, and more sensitive persons can feel it.

Old Masters and Healers

In older days, great healers had apprentices and Reiki was no exception. Since there are four levels, they were customarily dispersed a year or more apart. Once you were initiated into Reiki I, you would be an apprentice for at least a year; if you were any good, the prize, the attunement to the next level of Reiki, might just be yours (if the Master decided so). Healers of old learned through osmosis from their masters, and some of this respect is still transposed to the title of “Reiki Master”.

Mikao Usui, the first Reiki Master, received the access to this energy after fasting for 21 days at Mt. Kotoyama in Japan. He was initiated by a cloud of energy, and later he initiated others. There were about 2,000 of Usui’s pupils and several of them were raised to the level of “Reiki Master”. To cut the long story short, from 1946 to 1979 practically the only Reiki Master at the whole planet was one tiny woman from Hawaii, known by the name of Hawayu Takata.

In 1979 and 1980, a year before her death, Takata initiated 23 people into the rank of Master, which meant that all of a sudden, there were 23 people ready to teach others.

Back in 1940′s, Takata was forced to sell her house and to obtain 10,000 dollars to get her master initiatiation. She set the price and that structure remained for almost two decades after her death. This price seems unbelieable now, but there were no shortage of prospects, who could easily organize another course and make a fortune with several 10,000 customers right away.

Then, with the penetration of Internet, a greater number of people could be introduced to Reiki, and since the ability to send Reiki long distance was available from the very start, the price soon dropped. Today, there are sites that offer all levels of Reiki in one day, long distance, and there are many Yahoo groups in which you get just ask for an initiation into Reiki and get it totally for free. The times have changed, indeed!

Nobody knows for sure, but the number of people initiated into some level of Reiki is reckoned to be 20-30 million people now, the number of Reiki masters going to hundreds of thousands. These numbers will just rise and seems like nothing can stop this trend now. Considering all the advantages of Reiki, that is not surprising. Say, you went to a park and your child fell and started to cry. What then!? Simple. If you are initiated into Reiki, just think of it, put your hands around the burning place and the energy will flow; within seconds, or in a minute or two, the child will stop crying and the whole event will be forgotten as if it never happened…

Lineage

It is possible to get attuned via long distance and there are commercial sites specialized for that. You should get a manual for each attunement, as well as the lineage and a certificate. Without the manual you would have no idea what the attunement was about. There can be wild differences beetwen this or that kind of Reiki. For instance, in Violet Flame Reiki, you are attuned to some 40 symbols and without the manual you would have no idea of their names, what the symbols look like or how to precisely draw them. (Actually, even with the manual, there are several symbols in VFR that nobody knows anything about.)

In Celtic Reiki you can make words out of the basic symbols and in Run Valdr, you can also make words, this time out of runes. With only the attunement and without the manual, you would have no idea of such possibilities.

The Importance ot Lineage

Lineage is the line from the originator of the system to the master that will attune you. For classical Reiki, the originator is Mikao Usui, then Hayashi, then Takata, then one of those 23 people that Takata initiated and so on. For other Reiki systems, the lineage can be very short, for instance, in systems invented by Ole Gabrielsen, he would be the first in the line. If you purchased the attunement directly from him, your lineage would be the shortest possible.

If you want to apply Reiki only to you, to the members of your family and friends, then the certificate is not really important. There are, however, people who find themselves drawn to a career in Reiki as a teacher and/or healer, and for them the certificate really is a necessity. There are now 5,000 Reiki practitioners in the UK alone; some of them being admitted to the state hospitals, so it is has become a true profession. If you get initiated by a live and present person, by all means, make her give you a signed certificate and her lineage. For long distance attunements, the documentation comes over the email and so the certificate is almost never signed by a real person. Again, this will be quite acceptable unless you wanted to make a career of it, that it, Ole would be the first on the list and you would be the second. When you initiate someone else, they would be the third in the lineage and so on.

Courses and Retreats

Reiki masters often organize courses and if you can attend them, it may be a valuable source of experience. This often comes at a price, since you would often have to pay for various other costs — transportation, lodging etc. Some masters organize retreats, which is a variation on the theme of weekend courses. Reiki masters will often have their own sites and you would be able to book in advance through them.

Shop Around For Your Next Reiki Master

If you will attend a course, that is, a live event, you will spend some time with your Reiki master and teacher. There are many Reiki masters now, so shop around, you are not confined to the first master that you happen to run into. Reiki master or not, if you don’t like his or her personality, don’t bother to pay them for the opportunity to quarrel with them. In severe cases, the master will expel the rebel from the group, which does no good to anybody.

Advantages of Becoming a Reki Master

Your Reiki capabilities soar with this attunement. Now you can help yourself and the others in a much more efficient way. The treatments can be shorter with the same effects as before, or, they can become (much) more effective. You feel the energies clearly and sometimes, overwhelmingly (depending on the patient’s needs). Conducting Reiki energy can be such a joy! In the inner plane, you will never be quite the same. Your intuitive and psychic capabilities will grow, although that may not be apparent from the very start. Consider it a large step towards self-improvement and “self-betterment”.

The main advantage of attunements is that they raise your overall frequency, which would be a numerical way of stating where you are in the course of merging your 3D reality with higher realms. You can measure the frequency by pendulum: simply take it in the hand and count how many movements it makes until it stops. You can use it the same way to measure somebody else’s frequency.

When I started doing this, my frequency was, say, 135, and my Reiki Master’s was, say, 350. After she attuned me to Level IV, and many other my attunements after that, within a year I was at about 350 myself (boy, was I proud that day!).

Just to illustrate, Arsen Dedic, who is one of the most famous song writers and singers in the former Yugoslavia, has frequncy at about 1500; three years ago he even survived seven operations of liver transplantations… high frequency does have its advantages in the 3D world!

I once tried to determine Sai Baba’s frequncy, and it was way up, say more than 4500 or 5000 — certainly much more than most people on this planet.

If somebody has a negative frequency (the pendulum going in the negative direction), you either heal him or her, or cut away all the connections with that person, in order not to get contaminated or sucked up.

The problem with these frequences is that they are subjective, all these numbers are just on my own scale; somebody else’s scale should have the same relative order, but the numbers may be different. If you want to use pendulum in this way, you will have to do it all by yourself and it does become tedious, after a while.

Would Becoming a Reiki Master Help You Avoid Hysterectomy?

Takata, whose origins were half-Japanese, went to Tokyo to be healed from the tumor in the stomach. She already was on the operating room table waiting for the surgery, when she heard a voice telling her that something better should be found. She walked away from the surgery theatre, and asked what else is available. She was pointed to Mr. Hayashi’s hospital, and she started treatments over there. The treatments consisted of two Reiki healers treating he simultaneously for one hour. After seven months of this treatment, she was healthy and no tumor was in sight. That happened in 1935, and she lived for 45 more years. That is how she got interested in Reiki in the first place — Reiki healed her!

It must have been written in her horoscope somewhere that being a Reiki healer would be natural and healthy way of living for her. How does that apply to you, though? It is unrealistical that you must become a master healer of the world in order to avoid hysterectomy. But, advancing in Reiki levels would have the following distinct advantages:

– you could heal yourself better,

– you could others better

– let us not forget that whenever you heal others with Reiki, the transmitted energy simultanously heals you just as well.

– if the members of your family or your friends are initiated into Reiki they could heal you in return. If you were a Reiki master, you could initiate them into Reiki I and enable them to heal you. Notice that Takata was healed by two Reiki healers. The more healers the better for you, so if there are more members of your family and/or friends initiated into Reiki, they could treat you and you’d be much better off.

– If you do have a surgery, you can heal yourself while in bed. This would eliminate the all too often feeling of being a burden to others as well as the feeling of helplessness.

You or someone living with you gets Reiki, the others get Reiki and then they heal you. One hour a day would be a giant step for you, and if you could get more, then so much the better!

Now, with Reiki there is no guarantee that you will be healed from the present symptoms, at least not in a session or two. Make it a daily routine; they love you anyway, but why not let love heal you now that you need it so much!?

A woman with distended lower abdomen, a scan showing a large tumor in the uterus, probably cancerous. A First Hand Experience of a Three Day Long Reiki Distance Healing Session

The Three Symbols of Reiki Level II

Technically, in Second Degree od Usui Reiki (the classical Reiki that almost everyone starts out with), you get three symbols:

– the power symbol,

– the mental/emotional symbol, and

– the distant healing symbol.

These symbols are also known as the first, second, and the third symbol of Reiki. It is through this third symbol that you actually get the ability to send Reiki through time and space. More Reiki means better healing, and it need not only be directed towards the patients, it is possible to send Reiki to situations and affirmations. Reiki then works it all out, towards the best possible outcome for all. The “best possible” outcome may not be exactly the one that you have imagined beforhand, so don’t use Reiki in this way if you are not thoroughly prepared.

How to Send Reiki Distance Healing

Intent is the only thing that matters. You can send Reiki mentally, entirely without any “witness” or representant of the person that you send Reiki to. So, envoke the third symbol, fix the intent in your mind, and start sending Reiki. You may use the following affirmation:

I will send Reiki to avoid hysterectomy, if that is for my highest good.

Technically speaking, the third symbol is the only one needed, but it is only natural to back it up with the first symbol, then make it penetrate all the levels of reality with the fourth symbol, to finally balance all the issues with the second symbol.

Proxies for Reiki Distance Healing

Most people still need some kind of material object to represent the person to whom Reiki is directed. Here are some variations for Reiki distance healing:

– Imagine the person is small and right on your palms. Then send Reiki to the palms.

– If you are sitting, imagine the front of the person to be on the upper part of your right leg, from calf to knee, and the back of the person to be the same on the left leg. You then move hands in “positions” and send Reiki in that way. A hand on the right knee is sending to the face, the hand on the left knee is sending to the back of the skull etc. You can even send Reiki with your right hand in this way while driving (not really recommended, but sometimes can come handy).

– Take a bottle of water and imagine it represents the person. Then give Reiki to the bottle and the energy will reach the person allright. (Ideally, the person should drink that water afterwards, but that is usually impossible, since he or she is far away.)

– Put the picture (a photograph) of the person between the palms, bring them together and emit Reiki. (In the first days of Reiki in Japan, around 1920′s, this method was reserved only for the reach people, who could have afforded to have their own photographs.)

– You can do Reiki distance healing by moving hands into positions for self-treatment on your own body, with the intent of Reiki going to the remote person. There is one flavour of Reiki, called Imara Reiki, in which the only way to send Reiki distance healing is through placing your hands on yourself. (Although seemingly confined at the first glance, in Imara Reiki you still can send to several persons simultaneously, also you can send to Reiki stacks etc.)

– The most usual approach for Reiki distance healing is directing it to the substitute such as a doll or a teady bear. You move hands into positions just as if the patient is in front of you, only the he isn’t, it’s teady bear’s neck that you are touching now.

– Another widely used approach for Reiki distance healing is to write something about the person that will receive Reiki on a piece of paper. It can be anything that describes the patient in sufficient detail: the name, date of birth, the place of birth, the hour and minite of birth if known, the relationship between you and the patient (my husband, my son, my mother-in-law) etc. On the paper you could also write the place where the patient is during the distant healing, as well as the time when he or she will receive it.

– Reiki box. Those pieces of paper you may put in a box and then you can send Reiki to that box. Each person described on the pieces of paper in the box will receive it as if he or she were the only person that you were sending Reiki to!

Permanent Reiki Distance Healing

Reiki distance healing depends on the “Will and the Word” of the Reiki therapeut. As long as he or she is concentrated (the “Will”) on the intent of transmitting and repeating the name of a Reiki symbol (the “Word”), the energy will flow. Obviously, it happens in real time and the Reiki channel may be or may not be able to do it exactly when the patients need it. The way to achieve the permanency of Reiki distance healing is to charge a suitable carrier with the energy and then let it transmit as long as it can.

– Crystals. You can charge crystals with Reiki and put them on the picture of the patient. The crystal should be able to hold Reiki energy for some 48 hours, and then you would have to charge it again.

– Crystal grids. You would take not only one crystal but a whole bunch of them and rearrange them around the main crystal with the picture or a written affirmation beneath. You can use several crystal grids for several patients. (Crystal grids are a large topic in themselves.)

– Crystals in the Reiki box. The box is full of crystals, which can considerably enhance the power of transmitted Reiki.

– Another tool for distant healing is radionics. You can use Reiki over a radionics device and thus enhance the power of the sending ray.

– You can use crystals with radionics and Reiki. This is an extremely powerful way of distant healing, but very rarely used since most people do not know anything about distant healing with crystals and Reiki, while radionics is practically unknown.

– If you have an orgone device, you can use it for even stronger distant healing. An orgone device is a storage of energy and any radionics device near it will have a stronger impact. Radionics is the right impuls, but orgone is the power of that impulse in the material world.

The Permission to Send and Receive Reiki Distance Healing

Reiki is Universal Love and there are Reiki Masters who just take it as an excuse to perform Reiki distance healing to whomever and whenever. Without an explicit permission from the receiver, distant healing is a direct breach of the receiver’s Karma and will have grave consequences for the channeler. However, it may be permissible in specific situations. Even when the receiver is in coma, or if it is an infant unable to articulate words, you should ask the receiver’s Higher Self whether it would like to receive the energy or not.

To pose the question, you may link yourself with that Higher Self through the third symbol of Reiki Level II and ask for the permission; you may use a pendulum just as well. It really depends on your other extrasensory abilities, intuition, karmic ties etc. etc.

If you are not sure but still feel compelled to send Reiki, you can use a more general affirmation such as:

I am sending Reiki energy for the highest good of this person

and let the Universe handle the rest.

Some “healings” can be so strong that the receiving person wants to go to sleep, the blood pressure can go down and the like. It can be very dangerous when one is driving as well as in other life situations, so sending unsolicited Reiki distance healing can be a true attack rather than a healing. In that situation, you would actually act as a black mage, in spite of Reiki being Universal, Loving energy and all that. Beware! At least, it would mean a creation of new karma, and at the worse, all the unsolicited energy could be returned to you, which you would see as an illness or worse.

Time and Space Requirements for Reiki Distance Healing

If there is an explicit permission, you should also agree about the time and place the recipient would like to be at when the transmission starts. Reiki transcends time so you can channel energy when you want, say 9AM in your time zone and designate that the energy is received in 10PM in the recepient’s own time zone. If you are sending Reiki via the pieces of paper or through a Reiki box, on each piece of paper should be written local time, local timezone, and the place in which the recepient will be to receive the energy. In this way, the recepient will be able to cast aside his or her other worldy obligations and sit or lie down, eventually meditate, and enter a submissive mode to receive the energy in a most powerful way. The sensations when receiving the energy range from strong to almost minuscule, and each session will be different.

If the recipient cannot enter the meditative state, he or she will still receive the energy but the finer sensations may be lost. Still, the energy will act and, hopefully, heal. In rare cases, the recipient will not feel anything no matter how hard they be relaxed and submissive. If the sender has really sent the energy, we should still take this for a healing but in some higher part of the energy body than the material body.

If we know that the recepient is sleeping, it is better not to send the energy then to send it. However, it is OK to continue with the treatment if he or she fell asleep because of the treatment.

One alternative affirmation if the time cannot be predefined precisely, could be:

to receive it in any suitable time for him/her.

Reiki Distance Healing for the Future

Tomorrow is an important business meeting for you? An appointment with the gynecologist? Or the surgery itself, such as endometrial ablation, hysterectomy, laparoscopy, arterial embolisation…? With the third Reiki symbol, you can direct energy to the event itself, asking for the best possible outcome (under the circumstances).

Or is it the fibroids, PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), heavy and prolongued bleeding, irregular menstruation…? Direct Reiki distance healing towards the finding and executing the possible solution for the problem, always “for your highest good”, and then do as the circumstances dictate. With Reiki, you would concentrate the energy where it wasn’t present before, and it would seem that a seemingly unrelated sequence of events suddenly finds you. Since the Universe cannot tell you exactly its message, you would have to listen to tidbits here and there and connect them into a whole. For instance, while idly surfing, suddenly you see a new site where it wasn’t before, or it may be an accidentally overheard conversation on the ride home, or some news in the newspapers that you do not normally read… whatever.

The point is: after sending Reiki, be vigilant for these small events and connect them into a puzzle that will answer you affirmation, goal or prayer: a new doctor in town, a new surgical procedure invented somewhere entirely else, or simply, doing nothing, stopping going the wrong way.

Reiki Distance Healing for the Past

You can also send Reiki distance healing to the past. You cannot change the past, but you can change your internal view of the past events. For instance, when you heard that somebody close to you had an accident, or died or suddenly left in any other way, your body is in the state of shock. The organ with the largest quantity of blood in that moment will store and remember the shock, thus becoming wulnerable in the future. With Reiki, you can drive such emotions in the open, out of the body, and thus make yourself healthier in the future.

If you are giving Reiki through a series of treatments, either long distance or hands on, you can start directing Reiki distance healing towards the past of the illness. For instance, send Reiki

to the moment of the starting of this disease or

to the moment when the first symptoms broke out etc.

If there is time and good will, you can go further to the past with this. For very important persons, such as your own children, you can go back one year per session. You can even go back to the period of birth, then to each month of pregnancy and it will all help with the present situation.

Clearing Karma with Reiki Distance Healing

One of the important ramifications of all this is that children can be better healed by healing the relationship between the mother and the father, particularly during the pregnancy. If you see in the natal chart a square or opposition between the Sun and the Moon, then it is practically mandatory to erase the problems that preceded the birth, or the child will not grow as it should. If the positions of the Sun and Moon are tied to Moon Nodes and/or the fourth house, it will mean strong karmic influences, or as they say in homeopathy, strong miasms. (Other expressions for this would be thougthforms, entities, energy vampires etc.) Reiki distance healing directed to the past occurences is our best means of clearing karma.

In homeopathic terms, the sycotic miasm (remedies such as Thuja and Medorrhinum) governs most gynecological problems, such as fibroids, condylomes, warts, etc. A homeopathic remedy can neutralise a miasm, but often shall we find that above that layer of illness, there is yet another level of illness and the patient goes round and round in a vicious circle. With Reiki we gain a chance to actually heal the root of the illness in the past, where it actually belongs.

Other Kinds of Reiki for Distance Healing

Here we are talking about the classical Usui Reki, which is based on the four symbols. There are other kinds of Reiki in which symbols do not exist at all. One such Reiki is Kundalini Reiki, channelled by Ole Gabrielsen, and there are many others (Full Spectrum Healing, Gold Reiki etc.) (One peculiarity of Kundalini Reiki is that with it you also get, among others, a kind of Reiki to erase your karma.) In these flavours of Reiki, you perform distance healing simply by putting the palms together and stating a wish and channeling Reiki.

Expect Nothing, Gain Everything

What should be expected from Reiki distance healing sessions, or for that matter, from any healing session with Reiki!? The answer is one and only and always the same: nothing. Yes, expect nothing: Reiki is neither my or your energy, it is from somewhere else. We transmit it and receive it and it heals, but exactly what and on which level, we cannot know.

There are plenty of examples of imminent and radical healings through Reiki, otherwise nobody would care. Still, it may heal on some deeper level, up to karmic levels of which we do not know nothing in the material world. Many Reiki healings are on the emotional plane, and we simply cannot measure it. We see that the patient is beter overall, but the better he or she is, the more easier will it be to wave away the positive effects of the Reiki treatment, be it hands on or through a distance healing. Reiki is best approached in a somewhat detached manner, for both the therapist and the client. It is not always the best approach towards the paying customer, who would demand a tangible value for their money. But that is Reiki, useful in this world, but also sure not to originate out of this world.

Attunements Junkies

There are now many “Internet attunements junkies”, people who turned initiating themselves into a New Age hobby. Receiving a Reiki attunement usually is quite pleasant, you almost fall asleep (sometimes that is exactly what happens), and/or reach a trance-like or meditative state of the mind. Can be very relaxing, but also can evoke some long-forgotten pain, headache etc. Please be sure to not drive while receiving a long distance attunement, or at least pull over.

Sending a Reiki attunement can also be a kind of attack, so you will be able to tell a reputable Reiki master by reading the policy of his site. If he says that he does not send unsolicited attunements, read on, since that is a step towards a true professionalism. Master Symbols

As far as healing is concerned, Reiki Level II will enable some significant healings to be done. Many people just stay on that level and that functions perfectly. In Level III, you get another symbol, which permeats all energy levels of you physical and non-phycial bodies with Reiki, while in the fourth level, you get another symbol, called the master symbol. In types of Reiki that have symbols, one of them will be the master symbol, used to widden up your energy channels so that Reiki can come. In other types of Reiki, there may be no symbols at all, so this kind of thinking is not applicable.

Reiki Without Symbols

In the last several years, Ole Gabrielsen pioneered Reiki-like energies without symbols. In most of them, the division into three levels still exists, but on the third level you gain the ability to initiate someone just by ordering it mentally or aloud. For this to be a true attunement and not an attack, the person that should be initiated should have given his or her permission in advance. This is how it is possible to make a business out of attunements: you need only a few seconds to activate the attunement, while for the receiving party it takes 7, 23, 40 or more minutes to absorb the attunement.

All this makes the role of a traditional Reiki master even less significant then it was before. However, if you do have a chance to devote a weekend to a Reiki course near you, do so, it may be just one of those events that may change you life.

Making a Reiki Attunement of Your Own

There are attunements and downloadable energies that are not Reiki in the sense that you cannot pass them on, but they may be simpler to use.

They want me to start taking lupron to decrease estrogen after estrogen and progesterone receptor + cancer. Tamoxifen did not work as I am premenopausal. Lupron scares me but i am not sure if it is worth the risks. How else can i decrease my estrogen naturally?

Great question and you will not find an answer strictly within the pharmaceutical world. You have to get to the root of the problem and that is how the pituitary gland works. Treat her right and everything else will slowly start to fall in place. This is a simplified view, of course, but nevertheless, the right one, and it is almost sure to be overlooked by a gynecologist, which will only think in terms of his or her specialistic profession.

You need a remedy that will affect the pituitary gland, and the actual way doesn’t matter:

– it can be herbal,

– it can be homeopathic, or a mixture of both,

– acupuncture or Su Jok,

– Reiki

and so on. If that works, fine.

The more fundamental way would be to see what emotions are whirling in your energy bodies now. Maybe the relationship you are in now needs adjustment, maybe there are monetary problems which ruin everything and your female body reacts the only way it knows how, by disseminating the energy from the emotional level deeper to the body, thus creating illness. If you have to prepare for hysterectomy, there is plenty of advice on the Internet, and you might even want to invest into a paper book on the subject. In the comment to a post from someone who is in this situation, I have outlined two other possibilities for getting better sooner:

I see you are having a scheduled hysterectomy. As with any surgery, it pays to prepare up front. The most practical advice is to take Rescue Remedy a week or two before the surgery, and several days immediately after the surgery. It will help both with fear from surgery and with waking up from anesthesia.

Another practical advice would be to get initiated into Reiki or that somebody near you get initiated, so that you have regular access to Reiki treatments. That will considerably speed up the recovery and lessen or very soon eliminate the pains.

Here’s a comparative study, with the full name of

Uterine artery embolisation or hysterectomy for the treatment of symptomatic uterine fibroids: a cost-utility analysis of the HOPEFUL study

by Wu, O. and Briggs, A.H. and Dutton, S. and Hirst, A. and Maresh, M. and Nicholson, A. and McPherson, K. (2007), and published in BJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology 114(11):pp. 1352-1362.

They wanted to see which procedure should be favourized from the standpoint of UK NHS. There were 649 women who underwent UAE (Uterine Artery Embolisation) and were followed for the 8.6 years in average, while there were 459 women with hysterectomy, which were followed for up to 4.6 in average.

Two main measures were the Costs of procedures and complications, and Quality Adjusted Life Years (QALY) UAE had the lower cost, £2536 versus £3282, small reduction in quality of life (8.203 versus 8.241 QALYs) when compared with hysterectomy. However, when the quality of life associated with the conservation of the uterus was incorporated in the model, UAE was shown to be the dominant strategy—lower costs and greater QALYs.

The result of the study is that simply more women should be allowed to UAE instead of going directly to hysterectomy. This is especially important if the woman wants to preserve her uterus.

The abstract of the Uterine Artery Embolisation or Hysterectomy For the Treatment of Symptomatic Uterine Fibroids study is published by the University of Glasgow.

PMDD is similar to premenstrual syndrome (PMS), but differs from it in severity. She is anxious, full of anger, there is depression as well. Irritability runs amok. The symptoms surface between ovulation and menstruation, and disappear within a few days after the onset of the bleeding. The main symptoms may consist of the following:

• feelings of sadness or despair, or possibly suicidal thoughts
• feelings of tension or anxiety
• panic attacks
• mood swings, crying
• lasting irritability or anger, increased interpersonal conflicts
• disinterest in daily activities and relationships
• trouble thinking or focusing
• tiredness or low energy
• food cravings or binge eating
• having trouble sleeping
• feeling out of control
• physical symptoms, such as bloating, heart palpitations, breast tenderness, headaches, and joint or muscle pain

Five or more of these symptoms may indicate PMDD. Symptoms occur during the week before the menstrual cycle and disappear within a few days after the onset of the bleeding.

No wonder women with PMDD start wanting to have a hysterectomy, thinking it will erase the pain.

PMDD Alternative Medicine Therapy

In the USA, PMDD is recognized as a disease, while in other parts of the world, that simply isn’t so. Nevertheless, PMDD should be treated and there are several alternative medicine disciplines that might land a hand here. From homeopathy, Cimicifuga Racemosa, Black Cohosh, comes to mind, because it links severe menstrual disorder with the idea of suicide. From Bach Flower Remedies, one might think of

Cherry Plum, to stop from suicidal actions,

Mimulus from being fearful when “that time of the month” starts approaching,

Mustard and Gentian are also a must to relieve depression.

Reiki would be excellent here, as anybody can apply it and it will alleviate the pain at first, and then work towards the general healing. If you apply Reiki towards an affirmation such as

new doors be start to open to you. The consequence of giving Reiki to such an affirmation is that new methods of healing may enter your life, so even if Reiki would lead to homeopathy or something else, it would still be acceptable!

My mother had uterine fibroid tumors, and I think I may have them, too. I am bleeding extremely heavily, enough to soak a tampon within half an hour. I have made a doctor’s appointment, but they cannot see for a month.

Are there natural ways to reduce this bleeding? HELP!

Here is my answer, which, by the way, was in no way the only one.

Having a hysterectomy is never a picnic. The only way of telling what will happen next is medical astrology, but there are very few people in the world that practice it. For every woman that had her hysterectomy done well, there is a legion of women who curse themselves for being so stupid to give their consent for it, without realizing what they actually do.

Uterus is a vital part of woman’s body, it stores sex hormones created by the ovaries during the night and releases them during the day. I am not a medical doctor of any kind, so who am I to write on hysterectomy, the most dreaded and dreadful gynecological surgery that exists!?
