Endometriosis (colloquially referred to as endo, but also misspelled as endometreosis and endemetriosis) affects some 89 million women of reproductive age around the world. With endometriosis, the endometrial tissue from the uterus is found outside the womb in other areas of the body. Under normal circumstances, the endometrium leaves the body each month through menses (unless conception occurs). In endometriosis, the misplaced endometrium has no way of leaving the body. The tissues, however, still follow the rise and fall of estrogen and progesteron, breaking down and bleeding as if they were still in the womb, with many of the following symptoms taking place in the woman’s body:

– internal bleeding,

– degeneration of blood and tissue shed from the growths,

– inflammation of the surrounding areas, and

– formation of scar tissue.

In addition, the growths can interfere with the normal function of the bowel, bladder, intestines and other areas of the pelvic cavity. Endometriosis has also been found lodged in the skin, the lungs, the diaphragm and even the brain.

Click here is a list of article on this site about healing endometriosis.

Here is what Wikipedia has to say about endometriosis:

Pelvic pain

A major symptom of endometriosis is recurring pelvic pain. The pain can be mild to severe cramping that occurs on both sides of the pelvis, in the lower back and rectal area, and even down the legs. The amount of pain a woman feels correlates poorly with the extent or stage (1 through 4) of endometriosis, with some women having little or no pain despite having extensive endometriosis or endometriosis with scarring, while, on the other hand, other women may have severe pain even though they have only a few small areas of endometriosis. Symptoms of endometriosis-related pain may include:

dysmenorrhea – painful, sometimes disabling cramps during menses; pain may get worse over time (progressive pain), also lower back pains linked to the pelvis

chronic pelvic pain – typically accompanied by lower back pain or abdominal pain

dyspareunia – painful sex

dysuria – urinary urgency, frequency, and sometimes painful voiding

Throbbing, gnawing, and dragging pain to the legs are reported more commonly by women with endometriosis. Compared with women with superficial endometriosis, those with deep disease appear to be more likely to report shooting rectal pain and a sense of their insides being pulled down. Individual pain areas and pain intensity appears to be unrelated to the surgical diagnosis, and the area of pain unrelated to area of endometriosis.

Fertility

Many women with infertility may have endometriosis. As endometriosis can lead to anatomical distortions and adhesions (the fibrous bands that form between tissues and organs following recovery from an injury), the causality may be easy to understand; however, the link between infertility and endometriosis remains enigmatic when the extent of endometriosis is limited. It has been suggested that endometriotic lesions release factors which are detrimental to gametes or embryos, or, alternatively, endometriosis may more likely develop in women who fail to conceive for other reasons and thus be a secondary phenomenon; for this reason it is preferable to speak of endometriosis-associated infertility in such cases. In some cases it can take a woman with endometriosis 7–10 years to conceive her first child, to most couples this can be stressful and daunting.

Here is an interesting video how to cure endometriosis. It appears the holistic principle of listening to the body first and only then deciding upon therapy, sat particularly well in this case.

The most suitable treatment must take into account the state of the patient’s health, together with fertility / infertility plans and issues that the patient has. The treatment may be directed at pain management and removal only, and any type of estrogen reducing therapy will do in that regard. To achieve pregnancy, either surgery, or infertility treatments, or both may have to be undertaken.

Conventional Endometriosis Treatments

Conventional endometriosis treatments have no theoretical background to call upon. They think it has something to do with wrong auto-immune answers inside the body, but have no means of acting upon that idea. Then they say, your hormone mix is wrong, let us fix that and see what happens. That still is not curing the root of the disease and no wonder so many women are terrified when they hear this diagnosis.

The most usual conventional endometriosis treatments are:

•

Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs for control of pain,

Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone (GnRH) Agonists for suppression of hormones,

•

Aromatase Inhibitors

The next on the menu are surgical methods, such as laparoscopy, laparotomy, hysterectomy and presacral neurectomy. No wonder women ask is there something else, a touch of alternative medicine perhaps!?

Alternative Endometriosis Treatments

In alternative endometriosis treatments you go deeply to cure the cause. On this site you can read about the following energy healing methods, but see below for an even more rounded approach:

With homeopathy, you eradicate the genetic weakness that makes you susceptible to all kinds of warts, tumors, and other gynecological diseases.

With Su Jok, you can send healthy energy directly to the diseased organs and mend them without the surgery.

With herbal treatment you heal both the liver and the hormones, and within a few months time, endo will be gone. (One such mixture is Endo-Ex for Endometriosis)

Give yourself lots of Reiki and the pain will both subside while you will be healed at the same time.

Through medical astrology, it is possible to come up not only with a battery of healing methods that will best heal you, but it is also possible to predict when the endometriosis will get worse, and what should be done then in order to preserve health.

Your best strategy is to combine methods that are easilly accessible to you. Ask around what kinds of alternative practitioners live or have offices near you. (You can use Google Local Search to find them, for instance!) Find one that you can work with, if it’s a medical doctor, all the better.

Or, you can get a book called The Endometriosis Natural Treatment Program: A Complete Self-Help Plan for Improving Health and Well-Being – it offers practical, easy-to-implement ways to alleviate symptoms of endometriosis and improve overall health and well-being. Covers environmental toxins, cosmetics, dietary habits, and other lifestyle issues that may be partially to blame for the condition.

The essence of the book is a program for eliminating certain foods, changing habits, and using supplements and essential oils to begin healing the condition, incorporating aromatherapy, diet, sitz baths, and other methods. Authors Valerie Ann Worwood and Julia Stonehouse suggest slow yet steady lifestyle changes that focus on whole, unprocessed foods, detoxification, self-massage, essential oils, stress reduction, herbal remedies, and supplements to address nutritional needs. The books also includes checklists and self-tests to help women implement the plan for treatment.

The more of these alternative approaches that you incorporate into your daily life, the sooner the pain will be gone.

Autofluorescent laparoscopy diagnosis of endometriosis is a new way of seeing where endometriosis is during the laparoscopy. Laparoscopy is the best procedure to diagnose and remove endometriosis. During laparoscopy,
it is possible to see where the lesions are, however, under normal white light, tiny or hidden growths (implants) may remain hidden from the surgeons’s view.

Enter autofluorescent laparoscopy diagnosis of endometriosis — instead of white light only, two filters, the blue and the green one, are used. The first video shows the principle:

The Autofluorescent Mechanism

In normal laparoscopy, white light is reflected from the surface of the tissue. If a special narrow short-wave
filter is added, the illumination light is reflected as blue (the so-called observation light.) However, the lesions are also blue, so another filter is added, a green one — the observation filter. This maximizes the difference between the normal and endometrial tissues.

In this video we see a sample tissue with endometriosis. If only white light were present, extremely subtle endometriosis is seen. When the illumination filter only is used, there is loss of visuallisation. With observation filter alone, no change from white light is seen. When both filters are used at the same time, the lesions can be clearly seen.

Laparoscopical Diagnosis of Endometriosis

Laparoscopy is the only way to see whether there is endometriosis or not. Once spotted, the surgeon may decide to remove endo specks during the explorative laparoscopy or not. A new method called autofluorescent laparoscopy diagnosis of endometriosis helps the surgeon see only the lesions, even if the tissues looked OK in normal white light.

Herbs For Endometriosis

Herbs for endometriosis have their place in the larger scheme of things. In traditional Chinese Medicine, the bad state of the liver is considered to be the root of endometriosis. Empower the liver and gradually the endo will subside. So, the following herbs have effect both on the hormones and the liver:

Vitex agnus-cactus (Chasteberry) effects pituitary gland, the “conductor” to the orchestra of internal glands. Vitex will adjust female hormones and regulate menstruation, and will also help in endometriosis, PMS and dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation). Chasteberry also helps the liver to process and excrete estrogen — less estrogen means no estrogen domination or none at all.

Angelica senensis (Don Quai) acts as a hormone balancer and is an indispensable herb for treatment of female reproductive disorders. It is a tonic herb for the reproductive system and will address the overall health of your reproductive organs and is especially useful in treatment of irregular periods, polycystic ovarian syndrome, estrogen dominance and endometriosis. Don Quai is also a well-known liver tonic and blood pressure regulator.

Silybum marianus (Milk Thistle) This protects the liver from damage by viruses, pollution, stress and toxins. It is also a potent antioxidant; laboratory studies indicate it may have useful anti-cancer properties.

Dioscorea villosa (Chinese Yam) is an excellent natural liver and nervous system tonic. It is also known to have anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic properties and will decrease menstrual pain as well as inflammation associated with endometriosis that leads to scar tissue.

Viburnum opulus (30C) is a homeopathic remedy known for its effectiveness in treating painful menstruation, especially backache.

You should be taking these herbs several months in a row, to see the effects. And you can do other things for your endometriosis at the same time, besides taking the herbs for endometriosis.

What is Endometriosis Video

Here is a fairly good introduction to the notion of endometriosis, however, the speaker says that there is no known cure for endo. Well, that should not stop you from trying to get better, using alternative medicine or not!

Here is the video:

Here is how endometriosis can be exterminated:

Endo Treatment – Radical Excision of Endometriosis

The video has not tone but explains things through annotations. Fairly bloody, if I may say so, however. surgery does have its place in cases of severe endometriosis.

Here is the video:

Possibly the way to cure endometriosis is homeopathy.

Are alternative endometriosis treatments any better then the conventional ones? Truth to be told, none of either will work 100% of time, but the former stand a better chance of healing you if they go deep enough, to eradicate the roots of the problem.

The Place of Homeopathy Amongst Alternative Endometriosis Treatments

In homeopathy, the goal is to find one remedy which covers almost all the symptoms present; when taken, the negative energy in the remedy counteracts the negative energy that is already making the patient ill, and just as

(-1) * (-1) = +1

the original “evil” energy leaves the patient. For chronic diseases, something more is needed — the genetics needs to be mended first, and only then will other remedies and methods work. Inherited basis for the disease is called the miasm and homeopathy has access to several remedies that clear up the miasms, and thus pave the road to final healing.

For genital problems, the miasm usually is a sycotic miasm, and the remedy that best describes it is Medorrhinum. That is why that remedy should be given first, and then followed by some more specific remedies. However, Medorrhinum is not the only such remedy, so there are no hard and fast rules — each patient still needs to be treated on her own.

Homeopathy can be very successful amongst other alternative endometriosis treatments, but — BUT — it takes a really good homeopath to make things work.

The Place of Su Jok Amongst Alternative Endometriosis Treatments

With Su Jok, you can send healthy energy directly to the diseased organs and mend them without the surgery. You do that by pressing certain points on palms and feet and if they knew how, everybody could start healing themselves, on their own.

The problem of Su Jok is that it is a fairly new theraphy, and in the hands of a master, it may well be the best therapy there is. However, Su Jok therapists are very few in the world — your chances are better if you are in India, Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, while in the so-called West — you will not find almost any Su Jok practitioner. Still, you can learn the basics of Su Jok within an afternoon and then let it heal you for free. I know of a case of a woman who healed her own endometriosis within a few months, just by applying Su Jok every night to her palms.

The Place of Reiki Amongst Alternative Endometriosis Treatments

Give yourself lots of Reiki and the pain will both subside while you will be healed at the same time. Reiki can heal you alright, but you must be either initiated to it, or somebody else must heal you, perhaps a member of the family, or you can get long distance healing. However, there are no guarantees as to how and when you will get healed.

Reiki has intelligence of its own and will start healing from the level that is needed. It may be some point in the past, some karmic debt, some recent trauma, or a trauma that you do not know is there but it still is there (a childhood incident, perhaps). In any case, Reiki will help with your endometriosis, either as a pain killer or as a final method of healing.

A unique capability of Reiki is to concentrate energy towards the solution of your problem (any problem, by the way, not only endometriosis). After directing Reiki towards the problem, the solution will start materializing in the next several days or weeks at the most. You, per chance, visit a site that gives you a new idea about healing, get acquainted with someone who knows a good healer and so on. Reiki is great help, and you start healing yourself for free and with a minimal investment in learning, all from the Internet.

The Place of Medical Astrology Amongst Alternative Endometriosis Treatments

Through medical astrology, it is possible to come up not only with a battery of healing methods that will best heal you, but it is also possible to predict when the endometriosis will get worse, and what should be done then in order to preserve health. There are very, very few medical astrologers in the world (one of them is yours truly, by the way), so this is even less viable option then Su Jok. But, if you want to know where you are standing and what you are doing, medical astrology can’t be beaten.

The Place of Herbal Remedies

Homoepathy and Su Jok are excellent alternative endometriosis treatments but it may be unaccessible to you. I’ll also unerstand if you don’t get Reiki either. So, what, then? Why not just buy a pill of a kind and be done with endo, forever, if you don’t mind! In TCM, Traditional Chinese Medicine, the bad state of the liver is considered to be the root of endometriosis. Empower the liver and gradually the endo will subside. This is exactly the idea behind Endo Ex, a mixture of herbs and homeopathic remedies:

The herbs in Endo Ex are chosen for their effect both on the hormones and the liver:

You should be taking Endo Ex for several months in a row, to see the effects. And you can do other things for your endometriosis at the same time. Just do something on your own, don’t wait for medical doctors to tell you everything in your life!

Have you scheduled a hysterectomy because of an ubearable pain in your uterus? If you have an IUD, Intrauterine Device, you might want to think twice over the matter.

An Intrauterine Device (IUD) is inserted into the cervix and into the uterus to prevent pregnancy. It is not noticeable during the intercourse and can last from 1 up to 10 years. The role of an IUD is to change the lining of the uterus and fallopian tubes, changing the way eggs and sperm move so that fertilization does not occur. Several problems that an IUD can bring are heavier menstrual bleeding, piercing or perforation of the uterine wall, any vaginal infection can result in permanent infertility and so on.

Here is one blog post, by Sockpuppet, in which she says

I had made up my mind at the end of last year that I was in too much pain to continue dealing with my endometriosis. Went to my dr. discussed options and had decided to have a hysterectomy. (much to my drs. disappointment) A couple of weeks went by, I started talking to women going through the same pain and stress. I read up on hysterectomies and then I started reading up on IUDs. Alot of information is out there about IUDs and alot of it came back to the IUD actually causing my pain. I made another decision. Let’s take the IUD out, see if the pain changes. If it doesn’t then okay, if it does then we’ll see. I went in told my dr what I wanted to do, he agreed. It was as though he literally pulled the pain away from my body when he took out the IUD!! I had been in such life altering pain before that… to the point that I had to force myself to function, or to get out of bed. It was a nightmare.

She then switched to the pill and cancelled the hysterectomy. A happy ending and not a happy hysterectomy! Congratulations!

In the rest of the post she wonders whether to have one more baby or not. Here is my comment to the entire post:

Thank you for this post. I have a site on how to avoid hysterectomy and here you are, changing the state of the things, taking the IUD out, and cancelling the hysterectomy in consequence! Bravo! Now you have a chance to have a second baby!

BTW, having a second baby is more work, but it’s not really double the work you already do for one child. Think of it as of a gift to Lulu. If you do have a second baby, she will have a sibling for life:

another birthday party each year,

mutual support for life,

someone to play with and be angry at…

I don’t believe the state of the economy has anything to do with having babies. After all, now we live better than our parents, but that did not stop them from having you and me.

Wishing you all the best, and

Sincerely, Dusko Savic

So what about you? Would you have one more child if you did not have a hysterectomy?

Endochick is a writer, a mother, a wife, and a student. She suffers from Stage III endometriosis, IBS, Complicated Migraines and hypothyroidism and she has a blog about her struggles with endometriosis. She is in great deal of pain because of large cysts and the doctors had a suprise for her: as far as they are concerned, she has to enter the artificial menopause, either through Lupron or through hysterectomy. Here is an excerpt from the conversation:

DR: “So, Dr. K and I are prepared to offer you two things, either Lupron or a Hysterectomy. “

ME: “Thank God!”

DR: “Now both of these will put you into menopause. The Lupron will be a seudo menopause with added side effects from the drug. I’ll be honest with you, Lupron is hard to take. Many women have problems with it. Also, the hysterectomy will be put you into immediate surgical menopause because we will have to take the ovaries. “

ME: “Ok.”

One referral to urologist later, and I’m left to decide between the two options. What a day!

Here is what I have commented:

Hi EndoChick

I am a male so I cannot have your painful experiences first hand, but there sure are several ways to lleviate the pain. One of them would be Reiki, you can get it immediately if you go to my site. ou’ll get half an hour long distance Reiki session and it is free. You can use it once per day, very day. If that helps even a little bit, that would be a great sign that Reiki and perhaps other nergy healing techniques can help where classical medicine can not.

My entire site is devoted to using such methods in order to avoid hysterectomy. Your doctor is right aying that Lupron is hard to take (there is a page about why is it so on the site), but hysterectomy is worse, cannot be undone and there is no guarantee that it will save you from endometriosis, if it has already spread far away from the uterus. But all this is pure theory while you are in pain, so let’s get away with the pain first, and then do try to heal yourself instead of trying to counterattack the damage that has already been done in the body.

Wishing you all the best!

Here is a list of helpful pages on this site, with information on endometriosis and many, many alternative ways to fight it:

By the way, in cases like this, medical astrology should be the first resource to turn to, to discover a general strategy for the future, however, the patients have their acute problems and, truth to say, astrology reading is just a bunch of information from which no actual curing seems to come from. Once you have your reading, though, you start searching for the best therapies that can help you and things start to happen.

From time to time I engage in forum discussions on hysterectomy and similar matters. Here are my recommended links for endometriosis, for a woman whose doctor is leading her steadily towards the hysterectomy, taking the usual route of Lupron, than it won’t work out, and then YES, I have nothing else to offer you but I must offer you something, and that is hysterectomy!

The discussion started here and my post is:

==============================

This is my first post on this forum. First of all, let me say that I am a man so that I cannot have personal experiences with endometrisosis, but for other reasons of my own, I have a site that tries to teach women how to avoid hysterectomy.

If you do have endo, then in theory there are methods to help you deal with it without surgery, especially, without hysterectomy, which is a major surgery and additionally will cripple you hormonally to the end of your days.

Instead of talking much here, I’ll give you a few links that will yield further information on this matter:

1) Lupron and why it is dangerous

2) General info on endometriosis written by a woman who got around it without surgery!

3) Choosing the right alternative method to heal endometriosis — hopefuly you might find one that is applicable to your situation.

4) Finally, a listing of endometriosis articles by a “renegade” MD, Dr Joseph Mercola.

==============================

Also, if you want to see what the endo actually looks like, here is a very interesting endometriosis video:

Autofluorescent laparoscopy diagnosis of endometriosis

Other hysterectomy videos are here.

You can also choose from the conventional endometriosis treatments and alternative endometriosis treatments. If you just need advice what is the right thing for you to do now, you can have me develop a personal plan for you to fight endometriosis, based on medical astrology and energy healing techniques. Contact me here.
